Working principle, characteristics and application of empty suction cup (vacuum spreader)

First, the working principle of vacuum spreader

A vacuum is generated by evacuating the air in the suction cup, and an atmospheric pressure of 1 kg/cm 2 (950 to 1050 mbars) is withdrawn. Therefore, the suction cup was pressed at a pressure of 1 kg/cm 2 . We can get a pressure of 10000kg on a 1m2 vacuum chuck. This physical fact leads to a very efficient handling system.

1. Fast operation

The vacuum energy is stored in the vacuum accumulator. Within one second, it can be transferred to the suction cup for instant suction. Within two seconds, the vacuum in the suction cup can be returned to an atmospheric pressure for immediate release.

2. Safe use

The vacuum of the spreader usually comes from the accumulator. The energy reserve can be kept for several hours in the event of a power failure of the vacuum pump. The degree of vacuum is controllable. The sensor can show the system in case of a leak and the release of the load. As long as there is a proper vacuum in the suction cup, the load will not fall. Just a physical rule.

3. Safe adsorption, no damage to the surface of the material

The vacuum spreader mainly relies on the vacuum source to generate vacuum in the air inside the suction cup. The general suction cup is made of silica gel, natural rubber, nitrile rubber, etc., and can carry out the damage-free handling or loading of materials such as plates and glass.

4. Easy to operate

Since the operation of the vacuum spreader is on the top, it becomes easier to grab, lower, and release. This is one of the main advantages of using a vacuum spreader to carry things.
